What do I need to do to start storing?

Moving in is really easy ! We need one form of ID (passport, driving licence, recent utility bill etc.) payment for the first period of rental depending on your licence agreement, together with a £200 security deposit (fully refundable at the end of your stay, subject to container inspection). The contract is quick and easy to set up. We will ask you a few questions, take a copy of your ID and run through the Terms and Conditions with you. This only takes about 15 mins. Can I book my space online?

What is the minimum length of time I can store for?

Our minimum storage term is 1 month. There is no limit to the length of your stay.

Do I pay monthly or weekly?

If you are staying for the minimum period then we ask you to pay 4 weeks in advance, if you are staying for a month or more we ask that you pay every four weeks in advance (28 days). Future payments can be set up on Direct Debit or we can hold your Credit/Debit Card details for automatic payment.

What type of storage do you have?

We have individual units and areas of open space of various sizes. Our units vary in size from 40 sq ft (5’x8′) 80 sq ft (10’x8′) and 160 sq ft (20’x8′) and are made from steel with additional vent points all round for extra ventilation.. Each unit has its own secure door with lock box. All units have an eight foot ceiling height.

What size unit do I need?

The size of unit you require is calculated on the type and quantity of items you need to store. E.g. An average 3 bedroom house should fit into a 20’ container.

How much does it cost?

How do I pay?

Payment can be made by Credit Card (including American Express) Debit card, Direct Debit or Standing order.

What security do you have?

We have a high secure perimeter fence around our facility. The entrance gate is only accessible with a secure pin code. This means unauthorised persons cannot access the facility without an authorised code. We have 24 hour digital CCTV, state of the art Intruder alarms and fire systems which are set up to a 24 hour monitoring service.

What are your opening hours?

You can access you unit 24 hours a day 7 days a week through our automated security gate.

How do I move my goods from my vehicle to my storage unit?

We have trolleys for customer use and also vehicle ramps to assist in loading vehicles in to containers.

When can I access my storage unit and do you charge extra for access?

You can access your storage unit whenever you need to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There is NO extra charge for access (even if it is 3am)

Why do I need insurance if you are so secure?

We have done all that we can to ensure that our facility is clean, dry and secure, however, as members of the SSA (Self Storage Association) we have a duty to act under their guidelines and one of these areas is that all goods in storage need to be insured. This insurance makes sure that your valuable items are protected against things even out of our control – mainly extreme weather and fire! You may provide your own insurance – we would just need to see your certificate or you may be added to our policy. Please call the office and we will be happy to quote for you.

Do you sell packaging material?

Yes! Everything from tape and boxes to house moving kits and tool kits! Why not come in during office hours and take a look at what we have to offer?

Do you do removals?

We do not, But we know a very reliable local firm who we can highly recommend, just ask for the details.

What can I store in my storage unit?

You can store almost anything at our facility. Including household items, furniture, cars, palletised goods, bulk goods the list goes on. Items which are not permitted are listed as follows – Food and perishable goods unless they are securely packed. Birds, fish, animals and any other living creature. Combustible or Flammable materials such as gas, paint petrol, oil or cleaning solvents and compressed gases. Explosives, firearms, weapons or ammunition. Chemical, radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos. Any item which emits smells, odour or fumes. Illegal substances, items or goods illegally obtained.

When can I move in?

As soon as TODAY ! (As long as you have signed the contract and set up payment, keys will be available for you to collect from the remote key box.)

Can you take delivery of goods for me?

Yes with prior arrangement we can accept receipt of items for you. Please contact the office for more details.
